Government Shutdown

As of midnight on September 30, 2025, the Federal Government was unable to reach an agreement to fund the government.  As of now and until further notice, the Federal Government is operating under a "government shutdown."

The Abilene Housing Authority (AHA) is open and operating.  As of today (October 1, 2025), AHA was able to pay Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) to its landlords and Utility Allowance (UA) payments on behalf of our participants, as normal.

Please continue to watch our website as things unfold.  AHA will provide updates as we receive updates from the Federal Government.
